If you don’t point out racism it goes unnoticed. No one should “chill the Fuck out” when a race of a person is changed just because someone thought the white actor would be a better choice after only offering two PoCs the role.
No, especially not with a Movie like star trek, where it is based on a show that tried so hard to make races more equal in a time when a black actress was usually a slave in shows and movies. Star trek fought for more representation of PoC and of highly intelligent PoCs. I mean Khan is a genius, highly educated man and skilled warrior. He was complex and a great villain and he was a PoC. Back when Star Trek originally aired, you didn’t see that. AND THEY DID IT BECAUSE IT WAS IMPORTANT TO ADDRESS THAT!!! HE WAS A BRILLIANT PoC!!! The new Film should have respected that. There are not enough PoC’s in Hollywood media and it was rude as fuck to take such an amazing and important PoC character and make him white.

ahh!! wow this is a nice ask and thank u for not being mean about it!! it’s just a personal preference i have, and i don’t have a problem with people who like him (or other such actors). i have several friends who do anyway, so i didn’t really want to make anyone feel bad about liking an actor because that is just silly (and i know what it feels like to be put down for liking something!! it sucks umu) and your posts don’t bum me out!! you must be pretty good at tagging your stuff because i’ve never seen you post about him or anyone else i’ve got tumblr saviored! i actually really enjoy following your blog, friend!
